Plans that stick.
Send one card. They tap once, and it’s on — no app to install, no account to make, no thread that quietly trails off.

How it works
Three taps, and it’s real.
-
Make the plan
What, when, where, and who it’s with. The date is optional — “ramen, some evening” is a plan too.
-
Send the card
You get a link that unfurls into the plan itself in any message app. Your friend opens it, types their first name and taps I’m in. That’s the whole thing they have to do.
-
It’s on
You’re both holding the same ticket. Add it to a calendar, change the details, get a nudge a few hours before — and if you have to, call it off honestly, with your name on it.
And one more thing
The pact
Most plans don’t die because someone changed their mind. They die because nobody wants to be the one who says it — so the plan hangs around, half alive, until the day arrives and everybody is relieved it rained.
Every plan here carries a quiet escape hatch: if you both secretly bail, the plan cancels itself and you both find out. If only one of you does — no one ever knows. Not now, not ever.
A one-sided vote is not a notification, a badge, a count or a hint. It changes nothing the other person can see, ever. If they never do the same, what you did is deleted unread when the plan’s time passes, and no record of it is kept.
Nobody is told about this in an invite. You learn it after you’ve joined, on the half of the ticket that stays with you. A card you send says exactly one thing: I’m in.
On your phone
Get the app
Seconded works in any browser — that is the whole point of the card. The app adds the one thing a browser can’t do: it tells you the moment a plan changes, even with every tab closed.
It’s coming to iPhone. Leave an email and we’ll tell you the day it lands.
One address, used only for Seconded’s own messages: a nudge before a plan, word when a plan changes, and a note when the app lands. Every one carries a one-tap unsubscribe that deletes the address. Privacy.
Questions
The ones people actually ask
What happens if only one person bails?
Nothing happens, and nobody finds out. A one-sided vote is invisible to the other person: no notification, no badge, no change to anything they can open. When the plan’s time passes, the vote is deleted unread. The plan simply happens, or it doesn’t, exactly as if you had never touched the button.
So how does a plan ever get cancelled quietly?
Only when both of you have privately said the same thing. The match is made on our server, the plan cancels itself, and you both find out at the same moment — after a short random delay, so neither of you can tell who went first.
Can I just cancel a plan the normal way?
Yes. “Call it off” is right there on every plan, it carries your name, and the other person is told it was you. Honesty is the default; the quiet route only ever works when you both take it.
Does the other person know I opened it?
No. Seconded has no read receipts, no “seen”, no last-active and no typing tells, anywhere. The only thing your friend learns is the first name you type when you join.
Do I need the app to use it?
No. The person you invite opens a link in whatever browser they already have — iPhone, Android, a laptop — and taps once. You can make plans from a browser too. The app is for push notifications and for having your plans in your pocket.
Isn’t this an app for flakes?
It’s the opposite. Seconded exists to make plans official: a real card, a real time, both names on it. The escape hatch is there so that the rare mutual change of heart has a dignified exit instead of a week of nobody replying.
How many people can be on a plan?
Two, for now. Group plans are being built, and they will work the same way: a plan only comes off if everyone quietly agrees.
What does it cost, and what do you do with my data?
It’s free. We keep the plan, the first name you type, and an email address if you choose to give one. There are no ads, no trackers and no third-party analytics, and a one-sided vote is never readable by the other participant — not in the app, not from us. The details are in the privacy policy.
Got someone in mind?
It takes about twenty seconds.
